Good Business Charter Accredited

We’re now Good Business Charter accredited, a public commitment to responsible business practices, fairness, and trust in everything we do.

Why we’re proud to be Good Business Charter accredited, and what it means for you

We’re delighted to share that nTrust is now officially accredited by the Good Business Charter (GBC) . This is a mark of responsible business behaviour across ten core principles. This isn’t just a badge on our website; it’s a reflection of how we’ve run our business for years, and a renewed promise to all our stakeholders of transparency, fairness and care.

What is the Good Business Charter?

The Good Business Charter is an independent accreditation that sets out ten benchmarks for ethical business behaviour, covering things like fair pay, employee wellbeing, environmental responsibility, prompt payment to suppliers, and more.

It’s designed to help people identify organisations that truly “walk the walk” rather than just talk about their values.
For smaller organisations (like ours), there is a streamlined version of the accreditation process, divided into the same ten components but tailored to the scale and structure of businesses under 50 employees.

Some of the key components include (among others):

  • Paying a real living wage to all staff (regardless of contract type)
  • Fairer contracts and working hours (e.g. notice periods, shift certainty)
  • Employee well being, representation, equality & inclusion
  • Environmental responsibility & commitment to net zero practices
  • Ethical sourcing & paying suppliers promptly (within 30 days)
  • Open customer/beneficiary commitments, and paying fair tax

To be accredited, an organisation must display the GBC’s stamp prominently and publicly commit to upholding its standards.

Why this accreditation is so important to us

We view the GBC accreditation as more than recognition, it’s a reaffirmation of our purpose, standards, and relationships. Here are a few perspectives on why we pursued it:

Alignment with our Values

Even before applying, nTrust has long operated in the spirit of many GBC principles: we’ve always aimed to treat our team with fairness, to support their wellbeing, and to build relationships marked by trust and integrity. The accreditation means we’re formally held to those standards and publicly accountable.

External validation and trust

For clients and prospects, third party assurances matter. The GBC accreditation is something independent, it provides extra confidence that nTrust isn’t just promising good behaviour; we’ve committed to it formally.

Continuous improvement

Accreditation is not a one and done certificate. It encourages regular review, transparency, and accountability. It pushes us to improve in areas like environmental impact, supplier relations, or inclusive policies. It helps guard against complacency.

Standing with a movement

We believe business can and should be a force for good. By joining organisations accredited under the GBC, we’re part of a broader community of businesses that are raising the bar and changing expectations of what it means to do business “well.”

What this means for our clients and prospects

What difference does this make you? Here’s what our accreditation means in practice, for your experience, your confidence, and your risk:

• A reliable, principled partner

When you work with nTrust, you’re working with a company that has committed to fairness, consistency, and transparency, not just in how we treat you, but in how we treat our team, subcontractors and suppliers.

• Lower reputational risk

In today’s environment, clients increasingly care about who they partner with. The fact that we hold ourselves to high ethical standards mitigates reputational concerns for your organisation too.

• Better treatment of supply chain and subcontractors

Because GBC demands prompt payment to suppliers and ethical sourcing, you can be confident that when we engage third parties or subcontractors, we’re doing so responsibly, which helps maintain quality and stability in what we deliver to you.

• Continuous accountability and transparency

The accreditation means regular reviews and public commitment. If you ever have concerns, we welcome them; we’re committed to being open, not opaque.

• Shared values in partnership

Many business owners care about environmental impact, fair treatment, diversity, or ethical use of technology. Our accreditation gives you tangible assurance that those values are embedded in how we operate, not just in slogans, but in practice.

Looking ahead

We don’t view this as the end of the journey, in fact, it’s a new milestone. Over the coming months, we’ll be publishing more detail on how we’re meeting each GBC component, improvements we plan (especially around eco practices and supplier engagement), and how clients can hold us accountable.

We’re grateful for the trust you place in us, and this accreditation strengthens our commitment: not just to deliver excellent IT services, but to do so in a way that respects people, planet, and ethical standards.

If you’d like to talk more about what this means, or challenge us on any area, we’d love to hear from you.
